MICA S2024

︎ Tues April 16, 2024

Hope you all had a wonderful week. As discussed last class, we will be meeting in small groups today. Please come prepared with a list of 4 projects you wish to share on your personal portfolio. If you have documentation, bring it to the table so we can discuss how to improve for sharing. If not, have an idea of what you want to share.

I’ll quickly share an outline of the brand package you are going to create for yourself. I was going to share last week but I wanted to put more thought into it.

︎ Tues Mar 12, 2024

        1. Next week, pick one pro tip about Figma you’ve found useful—and that could be useful for everyone to understand. You’ll share what you’ve found to the class.

        2. Let’s get as far along as we can with all your additional pages (and review)

        3. I’ll give a mobile buildout demo and a tutorial on how to prototyping. Lastly I'll walk through a couple plugins I find very useful in my day-to-day.

        4. More importantly, you'll get to meet my new puppy Atlas. She's amazing 😍️.

︎ Tues Mar 03, 2024

        1. Bring the heat on your homepage designs🔥. Push what you would expect of a website—try to think about how your website could taste, feel, even smell. If it’s a food site, make it evoke hunger. If it’s a music site, make it push the user to explore, dig deeper, discover.

        2. Next class will be more of a work session. Let’s connect quickly at our normal start time and then I’ll keep the Google meet open and you all can jump in for feedback as you wish. That doesn’t mean you have the day off, let’s use this time to troubleshoot, brainstorm, and share ideas. Also if you have any techical questions about Figma, this is a good time to bring that stuff up.

        3. Have a nice weekend!

︎ Tues Feb 20, 2024
